Removes chips from the gullet of the teeth to prevent the blade from 
"walking" and giving a crooked cut or possibly damaging the blade. The 
chip knocker is determined by the tooth pitch.

Selecting the correct chip knocker for the blade is figured by using the 
formula: 3.14 x Diameter/# of teeth = tooth pitch
